Hello!

I think everyone has noticed the plastic sheets on class bench right?

Just in case anyone is wondering, it's to prevent bird shit.

seriously, i'm not joking.

On Monday mornings, when we return to school there will be some white/black patches of.. suspected bird shit.

So, these plastic sheets enable us to wipe it off cleanly and also deters birds from shitting.

I quote SzeChuen "When birds see white, they'd think that it's their shit so they'll avoid it. It's like how you don't want to be standing in your own shit when u want to shit".

And guess what, it has proven to be effective. I have not seen a single shit on our class bench. Have you?

I'll be replacing the sheets every month or more(if they are still in good shape) so please take care of them.

That's all about the plastic sheets.

Faculty outing is coming up, so everyone, please take care of yourself. Don't fall sick ah, if not cannot enjoy yourself.

Also, jiayou to the remaining people with SYFs and comps! And to the huang cheng peeps, hope you guys put up a good show for today's final performance :D

Hey everyone, guess what? STJ is coming up! YES, it is in 3 days time!!! I hope all of you are geared up for it because it is going to be an exciting event! Not only do you get to enjoy the company of your classmates and juniors, you also get to enjoy good food and music ;) I'm sure all, if not most, of you know what's the plan for Saturday already with my smses, fb msges etc so do turn up punctually if possible. :)

hi everyone! there have been many events taking place recently so i've decided to give an update for the various events:

CNY Celebrations and Funfair

ok is it a funfair? hmm anw our class did great!! manicure + cheesy hotdogs + hanna = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

haha we had a profit of $100plus bucks, which was way way more than wad we estimated. prob extra revenue from the manicure and henna services haha.

SPECIAL MENTION goes to the following ppl for which our stall wouldnt have been a success:

wai tiem + chunmei - collecting money from customers and being so careful

kezheng - designing such a cute poster even though i gave him less than a day

chia xn + sheryl + chunmei - providing all the nail polish FREE OF CHARGE

joey - taking pretty photographs

limkiat - helping to find chairs for manicure and keeping them after that

liejun + hui may + chee shuan + zhenyang + zhitao - helping to warm and sell the hotdogs

isaac + janice - skewering the hotdogs and selling

oh ya thanks chee shuan for coming with me to collect the class tee shirts. kp tat day still raining like hell. lucky got someone help me carry the 2 big bag of shirts. and the preperation work like going to shopnsave to source for the cheapest hotdogs/mayo/sauces/aluminium tray/skewer/serviettes/cotton wool/nail polish remover, and going to shop n save another time on the day before to buy our ingredients FRESH. and bringing the rice cooker to warm the sausages.

thanks liejun for buying 10 packets of sausage roll (and getting stared at) LOL.

and thanks lester and co. for coming to buy our hotdogs. and painting people's nails.

for those who were not there, thanks for helping out in one way or another.

class outing

Yo ppl! The hols are coming up, and I was thinking of a class outing during the nov/dec holidays. We could rent a chalet (costa sand resorts/aloha/others?). costa sand charges abt $300-$400 for a 3D2N stay and aloha charges abt $250 per night per chalet.

Some activities that we can do would be:

BBQ (have to buy materials though. And troublesome)
Night cycling (cycle on the park connectors and prob on the highway)
Escape Theme Park
Wild Wild Wet
Go to ECP or Changi Beach to chill (can play ball games or slack in water. or skating. Or flying kites)
Movie (marathon?)
Bowling
Buy a jumbo cake to celebrate all the nov/dec babies LOL

The chalets would easily cost $20-$40+ per person. So it would be better to make sure at least 15 ppl can stay overnight for the chalet. Also, it would most likely be during the 19 nov – 23 dec period.

We could also go for the activities but nt stay for the chalet. But obv nt as fun as chalet la coz there’s lesser things we can do.

So what are do u think? There's a facebook discussion page HERE so just post any opinions u have there. Got any suggestions on what we can do, also post there. For those who wan chalet, pls tell me when u’re free so I can kinda compile all the dates that best suit everyone haha.

Yep that’s all I have now. Try to go for the outing/chalet. It’ll be damn fun hehe:)

Hi guys!

Thank you Chee Shuan for addressing this matter. Justin and I have been discussing about it too and we realised that although most of the mess are caused by us, there are also people from other CTs using our bench when we are not there (also noted by Sze Chuen and computing people). Apologies for not addressing this issue earlier.

Hence, let's set some bench rules xD :

1. Place all bags on the floor neatly, unless it contains fragile items such as laptops, project models, etc.

2. Eating at CT bench is permitted as long as you clean up your own mess.
(i.e. Drink bottles/cans, food/sweet wrappers, spilt drinks, etc.)

3. Before leaving the bench for lessons, tidy up the bench.
(i.e. Arrange items on the desk. Try to keep the bench as empty as possible.)

That's all! If we all work together and have the sense of responsibility towards our very own CT bench, things will work out. Let's observe if people from other CTs still dirty our bench. Those without physics or chemistry or take H1 econs can keep a lookout. If they still dirty our bench, we will have to talk to Mrs. Ong or even Mr. Ken Yeow.

Class bench matters!

HI CLASS!We failed our CT bench check.

I am really not surprised why we fail la. I see so many bullshit at our bench, everyday got more and more. The GP files at the bench almost no one collected, then files/notes/papers/rubbish on the table? I see empty cups and food not thrown away???

Adding on to that, all you bags still put on the bench. You all must remember, we have 26 people in the class and plus the senior class its 52. The bench at most can put 20bags only. Then where do the rest go? I am really damn pissed off with the condition of our bench la.
Don't put ur bags on the CT bench can. People have to sit. Next time you put, we have the right to remove it if we want to sit, OK?

Let's take more care of our class bench!
Like pls lor, a few more times and we are gone....to some far far place.

Starting from tomorrow, I want to see an improvement in the situation. I hope that you guys can help clean up the place in the free period before CT. AND clear ALL your rubbish on the bench. You can rent a locker if you need to keep your things. The bench is a common place and not a place for you to dump your belongings.

Another thing I want to say is, faculty outing coming soon, please bring along 15 dollars and give it to Belinda who is collecting the money for the fac comm. Also there will be events such as the choir one and the dance one. Please do support you classmates who are involved.

Hi guys, some of us went to support Yi teng at the finals today. Although HCI lost 8-2 to RJC to claim a silver medal, but our school team fought hard and displayed excellent sportsmanship unlike their opponents. Anyway, good job yi teng, cos he blocked some quite nice shots. But due to DSA-ed talents in RJ, tats y its hard to win la.

Let us all congratulate the team for their hard work and the silver medal. And also hope they could do better next year!

Just wanna advertise this to yall... This is what Lim Kiat, me and lots of people have been working on for the past month or so... This is why we stay up to 10pm everyday (at least for me cause i am in props) *except Sunday* in school.

黄城夜韵 is a Chinese Drama production put up by our very own chinese society! It is a very grand national-scale production and every year we have thousands of people turning up for it. Here's a sneak preview of the production.

Synopsis:

First play: A satire that questions the greediness of man and the desire to become famous at the price of death. An artist is caught in this dilemma and his destiny is at mercy of two deities.

Second play: A play that looks at the relationship of two sisters, who became hostile to each other after the death of their parents. Will they be able to reconcile with each other?

Third play: A play about gangsters and their triad. Undergoing immense pressure, the young and innocent protagonist will have to make a decision. To succeed his father's position as the triad leader or not.

So the plan now is after chem lesson, we all shall get changed, then we might have lunch or something near school. Then we shall bring our stuff over to ECP and have fun. I dunno which area we are using yet, but probably area C since its like the nearest to the bus stops. Haha, anyway, we can stay till like 6 or 7 for sunset!!! omg, sounds damn fun man. lol
