黄城夜韵

Hi guys!

Just wanna advertise this to yall... This is what Lim Kiat, me and lots of people have been working on for the past month or so... This is why we stay up to 10pm everyday (at least for me cause i am in props) *except Sunday* in school.

黄城夜韵 is a Chinese Drama production put up by our very own chinese society! It is a very grand national-scale production and every year we have thousands of people turning up for it. Here's a sneak preview of the production.

Synopsis:

First play: A satire that questions the greediness of man and the desire to become famous at the price of death. An artist is caught in this dilemma and his destiny is at mercy of two deities.

Second play: A play that looks at the relationship of two sisters, who became hostile to each other after the death of their parents. Will they be able to reconcile with each other?

Third play: A play about gangsters and their triad. Undergoing immense pressure, the young and innocent protagonist will have to make a decision. To succeed his father's position as the triad leader or not.

Tickets sold at $16 ...

2.30pm 10th april
7.30pm 9th and 10th april
tickets priced @ $16
venue: victoria theatre, in city hall

HAPPY BDAY Steph!!!!

Haha, happy 17th birthday our awesome, imba, dearest PW rep!!!

Still remember the first few days of school. Steph taught us dance moves for our class performance!!! Without her ah, we die liao la, wad can we do man??? So, for this BIG contribution, she deserves the 99.90 dollar pink seal!!! HAHA, now i ego liao la, cos the seal i choose de.

Ok, i shall stop scamming, the seal only 20++ dollars. We told the auntie paste the tag de. HAHA. and thanks LK and isaac for going to buy it too.

But the main point is, do have a nice year ahead. (with someone..hehe) ok la joking.

CIP lastest news.

Hello ppl!
sorry for this late notice, because i just received it not too long ago.

Tomorrow, instead of 12 units, we are allocated to 21 units
And all of us are regrouped.
The namelist will only be given out tomorrow so i have no idea.

okay so friendly reminder, please bring a piece of rag. (dont bring like 10cmby10cm okay!)

Hello, this post is for fac CIP people.
Those who did not attend the briefing today, i'm posting this for you!
And also for the benefit of people with lao ren chi dai zheng :D
And and...! for the kaypo people who wants to know what's happening!
(I'm not sure if the details will be posted on SMB either)

Venue: Blk 318A Jurong East Ave 1
Date: 27th March 2010
Time: 8am-2pm.
Meeting point: Outside Audi (7.30am)
Meals: Lunch provided

There are altogether 12 studio units!
Unit consists of small hall, bedroom, toilet and kitchen.
Cleaning includes
- sweeping & mopping floor
- washing toilet
- cleaning kitchen tiles
- cleaning window griles
*note that in dark corners you will see some stuff..... [be prepared!]*

Schedule
7.30a.m - gather outside audi
8.00a.m - board buses at SALT centre
8.30a.m - arrive at site
8.45a.m - start work
12.30p.m - lunch break
1.30p.m - resume work
2.00p.m - end work/dismissal

Attire
HC PE shirt/Orientation shirt
NO Fac shirt
Bermudas or HC long pants (for guys)
NO shorts or skirts
Shoes or sandals
NO flipflops (too informal)

Things to bring
- a piece of rag each.
- change of clothing if you want
- enthusiasm :D
- shower cap (for painting)

Dos and Donts
- Ask for permission before moving things or discarding things
- Inform teachers/parents in case of mishap or misunderstanding
- Make an effort to talk to them
- Inform team leaders or teachers if you need to leave early
- Don't bring expensive personal items or large bags (no space)
- Don't leave your personal effects lying around (e.g. wallets, mobile phones)
- Don't enter any other units not under our project (this is due to other ppl wanting to kope free labour. and there's 130++ units so if u enter and help other units, u'll not finish until sunday??)
- Don't enter or remain in any of the units alone; always be in pairs
- Give out bags of food IN the unit (in case neighbours see and complications arise)

p.s. as to which unit you are assigned to as a group of 5, it's not confirmed yet.

cross country

Hi everyone, as usual weekly post.

Cross country this coming Wednesday!!!

Please remember to hydrate yourself, and read emb for details on the venue, reporting time and attire!

I am sure you all are aware that I will be one of the 1st aider during the run. So if you are not feeling well halfway, do approach any of the 1st aiders stationed around. There will be an ambulance at the starting/ending point, as well as another one near my area (at check point 5). Check point 5 should be where the guys and girls split.

Oh ya, if you all run until sian liao hor, can approach me also. I can let you come my station rest. And if you dun wan run i can bring u back. LOL. Don't tell others hor...

And to those not coming, please rmb to get your MCs ready, later tio demerit. haha have a good time on wednesday!

And this coming saturday is someone's bday. *hint hint*

Hello,

Just to clarify, none of the GP teachers assigned groupings for the project. [Yes there IS a project -.-]

We are supposed to have max 2 groups of 4, but I suspect the girls are in 3 groups of 4.

The project revolves around researching [albeit really briefly] on an ancient civilisation / empire, and involves McWorld.

I lost my paper [gah along with alot of other papers!!] but go find your copy, its related to McWorld.

Class picnic

Ok guys,

This is cheesy here for WEEKLY post!

Class outing on friday! We are going ECP after chem lesson for picnic? Cycling, roller blading, playing balls? And loads of FUN!

Anyway, for the picnic, pls bring some stuff to contribute. It can be drinks, food, snacks or wadever that can occupy us during the time there!

If you have anything that must be kept fresh, or you dun wan to bring to chem lesson, pls inform me and pass them to me on friday morning so that i can put it at my house. We can collect them after the chem lesson. Pls sms me at 91998897 before friday!!!!

So the plan now is after chem lesson, we all shall get changed, then we might have lunch or something near school. Then we shall bring our stuff over to ECP and have fun. I dunno which area we are using yet, but probably area C since its like the nearest to the bus stops. Haha, anyway, we can stay till like 6 or 7 for sunset!!! omg, sounds damn fun man. lol

Here are some reminders. Firstly, the ten (or nine) people who are going for the Faculty CIP event please collect your indemnity form from the CT bench and fill the namelist on the bench as well. There is ECONS make-up tutorial on Monday @ 2pm and CHEM lesson on Friday. Hi guys.

If you guys read emb, there is this post on athena CIP. They are finding around 60 ppl for CIP on 27 march.

I suggest our whole class sign up together so that all of us can get CIP hours!!!! COOL RIGHT???


Whats more, on 27march.....its STEPHENIE's bday!!! We can go out to eat after that, and maybe buy her a present? Wah, so cool hor??

CT rep or anyone can get this organised, or is there a CIP rep or something. This looks like a great opportunity for us to come tgt and help ppl, get cip hours and celebrate a bday!

We don't want our teachers to start giving up on us. Although I fear some already have.

March Holiday

I was looking at the other class blogs on Athena website and saw that all the class that got blogs all have class outings already (or planning to have)

So...as the welfare rep, i feel damn 自卑 if i cant organise a class outing soon. Therefore, I decided to hold an outing during the march holidays

Janice was telling me yesterday that in our class, we have people of diverse interests...some like playing computer games, photography, sports, watching movies...and maybe...mugging?

Its very hard to cater to everyone's interest in one outing alone. Hence there will be a few outings during the whole march holidays. I am thinking of a skating outing (which was to be held during the HBL but cancelled), and a movie outing+lunch/dinner. You all can choose either one of them or come for both. Alternatively, u all can come to school on one of the days to study together...(LOL?)

Pls respond at the tag board or at facebook. Don't make me feel like a retard posting all these and no one responds....

Oh ya, pls read my previous post on the class shirt design. Xinni kindly volunteered to help us design it, so pls come out wif ur personal icon and send/tell her. (ok so for me its obviously a cheese...)

Last thing, We had a few birthday celebrations already and it was quite easy cos its always on a weekday. One of our classmates birthday falls on this sat, someone please take the initiative to do the card please... And also, the dance partner please learn from wai tiem and do something abt it!!!

Hi guys,

Some of us came out with the rough design of the class tee already.

Basically the front of the shirt is just our class name and an owl representing the fac

The back of the shirt will be a computer screen. On the screen will be the desktop background with 26 icons representing all of us.

Now, everyone pls design ur own icon and send them to either me or janice or xinni. If you cant draw, u can tell them abt ur design and ask them to draw for u!

Haha, hope we can get the shirt done before fac outing or JTS so that we can wear them!
