im quite sure many of us wan a class t-shirt or a sweater(: a class sweater would be quite cool xD (albeit slightly more ex than usual tees)

would anyone like to volunteer to do the design? someone came up with a design alr if im nt wrong but idk what happened to it..the due date for submission of design is 21st May 2010, so we have to hurry up if we wanna get one!

Re: Class Bench Issue

Hi guys!

Thank you Chee Shuan for addressing this matter. Justin and I have been discussing about it too and we realised that although most of the mess are caused by us, there are also people from other CTs using our bench when we are not there (also noted by Sze Chuen and computing people). Apologies for not addressing this issue earlier.

Hence, let's set some bench rules xD :

1. Place all bags on the floor neatly, unless it contains fragile items such as laptops, project models, etc.

2. Eating at CT bench is permitted as long as you clean up your own mess.
(i.e. Drink bottles/cans, food/sweet wrappers, spilt drinks, etc.)

3. Before leaving the bench for lessons, tidy up the bench.
(i.e. Arrange items on the desk. Try to keep the bench as empty as possible.)

That's all! If we all work together and have the sense of responsibility towards our very own CT bench, things will work out. Let's observe if people from other CTs still dirty our bench. Those without physics or chemistry or take H1 econs can keep a lookout. If they still dirty our bench, we will have to talk to Mrs. Ong or even Mr. Ken Yeow.

Class bench matters!

HI CLASS!We failed our CT bench check.

I am really not surprised why we fail la. I see so many bullshit at our bench, everyday got more and more. The GP files at the bench almost no one collected, then files/notes/papers/rubbish on the table? I see empty cups and food not thrown away???

Adding on to that, all you bags still put on the bench. You all must remember, we have 26 people in the class and plus the senior class its 52. The bench at most can put 20bags only. Then where do the rest go? I am really damn pissed off with the condition of our bench la.
Don't put ur bags on the CT bench can. People have to sit. Next time you put, we have the right to remove it if we want to sit, OK?

Let's take more care of our class bench!
Like pls lor, a few more times and we are gone....to some far far place.

Starting from tomorrow, I want to see an improvement in the situation. I hope that you guys can help clean up the place in the free period before CT. AND clear ALL your rubbish on the bench. You can rent a locker if you need to keep your things. The bench is a common place and not a place for you to dump your belongings.

Another thing I want to say is, faculty outing coming soon, please bring along 15 dollars and give it to Belinda who is collecting the money for the fac comm. Also there will be events such as the choir one and the dance one. Please do support you classmates who are involved.

(: If you have better dates to suggest, please tell me/tag here also ^-^ Fyi, the reason why it's pushed all the way back to june is because on 24th apr there's mad orientation and xiao huang cheng, all the saturdays in may there'll be dance night pracs, beginning of june choir ppl are overseas. WATER POLO FINALS

Hi guys, some of us went to support Yi teng at the finals today. Although HCI lost 8-2 to RJC to claim a silver medal, but our school team fought hard and displayed excellent sportsmanship unlike their opponents. Anyway, good job yi teng, cos he blocked some quite nice shots. But due to DSA-ed talents in RJ, tats y its hard to win la.

Let us all congratulate the team for their hard work and the silver medal. And also hope they could do better next year!

Weekly update

Hi guys, cheesy here once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok i think some of you requested me to post the GP stuff here. so yup, i attach some of the pics !



Ok anyway, I shall announce the result of the nomination for CT rep

Basically highest votes go to Belinda with 16 votes
Then followed by:

me (12)
chunmei(7)
Joey (4)
lie jun/sheryl/lester (3)
ke zheng (1)

Basically the votes add up to 49. we shld have a total of 52 votes. Sheryl called chia xin ni to vote but limkiat wasnt contacted. Therefore, if lim kiat vote, we have 51 votes. which means one guy voted for 1 person only.

Only the top 3 nominees will go on to be interviewed or voted again later on. So that rounds up the nomination process.

BTW, tomorrow is yi teng's water polo finals. For some hu dunno, yi teng is the 1st choice goal keeper in the HC team. Hence, let us all wish him good luck and bring glory to the school.

Homework Alert

Hello!

My friend's class [10S63] has this system I find rather interesting. At the end of the school day, someone collates the list of homework from the subject reps, and mass smses the class to inform them of the homework.

I think this will be quite helpful :D

I dont think we need notices for PE and Art right -.-

Also, has anyone managed to find a buffet suitable for our pockets and JTS? Hui May was suggesting a high-tea buffet.

Tentative date 24th april? Any problems with the date? And Yi Teng has volunteered his house :D Near/at raffles place.

FAC comm selection

Hi guys, welfare rep here ONCE AGAIN.

This time is cos Mrs ong ask me do her a favour. So as most sincere and helpful welfare rep, i gracefully accepted her pleas and am here now to help her complete a very tedious task.

During lunch today, she asked me to help her conduct the fac comm selection. In other words, to choose our permanent CT rep all the way up to J2. I asked her why cannot on rotation basis, but she say fac comm dun allow a change of face evry month.

SO,

Please think of some nominees that you would like to nominate for our CT rep. Then by the time when we selecting, it will be easier.

HCCO presents 天籁回音 '10!

"Please look forward to a night of melodious music as HCCO plays the tunes of "狮城序曲", "相马", and "天仙配" (double erhu concerto by Lim Qing & Lim Yang). Sectional pieces featuring the bowed strings, plucked strings, cello bass, as well as the percussion sections are also part of the night's repertoire. In addition, "天籁回音", an orchestral work in memory of the 1st 天籁回音 concert series, will be showcased.

Hello 6A!

Remember the GP articles? The one where we were supposed to have someone present every week? Okay, anyway the one on 'Schools of the Future' that was being given out the other day was done by HuiMay. There isn't really time to present in class coz I think we're already quite behind :X [unless....you guys want, then... say so. or stay back or something.]

Anyway, if I'm not wrong, Chunmei has already done hers, just haven't passed it out yet.

Belinda, Janice, Sheryl, Stephenie, Jessica, Si Rui, please complete ASAP [MRS POW IS COMING BACK ON THURSDAY!!!!].

I have a photocopying card for GP so please either a) pass your copy to me or b) get the card from me and go photocopy :D Or lols c) absorb the photocopying cost yourself ahaha.

Hi all! GOOD NEWS for everyone!

for personal time on mon, we'll be having some ECG talk by mrs ong. so, pls get ready your DESTINATIONS booklet and bring them on mon(:

and make sure u complete the first 3 chapters! orders from the queen haha.

btw, there are 2 more admin matters i have to settle:

1) fac prince & princess - we need to elect one guy and one girl to run for the fac prince and princess 2010. nominees (whether saboed or volunteered) would have to prepare an item (song/dance etc, around 3mins). there'll be a rehearsal, which is most likely on 7/8/9 April. the interview is by class, so both the guy and girl nominees will be interviewed tgt.
pls give me names of ppl whom u think are suitable for this(:

2) gems - each class needs to come up with an activity to do. this activity must help to bond the class. eg include doing cip (but ew.. who wans cip as a bonding activity?) . the sch will sponsor $10 per person. we have to include our beloved teachers too. kindly suggest some activities!

Class Blog Picture :o

Hi all, just to let you know... WE ARE GOING TO TAKE THE CLASS BLOG PHOTO NEXT FRIDAY OKAY...! You all better not be sick or anything! And it won't take long so just meet at class bench at 12!

We WILL take on friday coz szechuen the great photographer will be bringing his fancy cam then! @_@

So remember your letters! And get them ready. We take during the 1hr break, after phy lecture. Remind each other okay! Can even draw during math tutorial... whatever. If you feel the pain from drawing on your math notes then go ahead draw on other papers... but u might still wanna use your notes to support the paper or it'll be too flimsy.

For the muggers who can't be bothered to read this entire nonsense message:
